What is it?

Plumpton Activity Scheme is a non profit making organisation providing summer holiday activities for local primary school children in a friendly and informal setting.
The document "Guidance for Parents" (available as Word document and PDF document) tells you what you need to know before attending the Activity Scheme.
Where is it?
The sessions are held at the sports pavilion at the King George V playing fields in Plumpton Green.
Changes for 2010
- This year we will not be offering places during the running of the scheme, so please book all your required sessions now to avoid any disappointment.
- Most places are likely to be allocated on the 18th of June but subject to availability, late bookings will still be accepted up until the final closing date of 20th July. No new registrations will be accepted after that date.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking, no deposits will be taken this year. If the sessions you have requested are not available, a refund will be given with the confirmation slip. We will confirm places and give any applicable refunds on 24 June.
- We cannot give refunds for places booked and paid for.
- Registration forms should be returned with your booking form
When is it?
Sessions run for 4 weeks, Tuesdays to Thursdays, from 3 August to 26 August 2010. Sessions begin at 10am and finish at 3pm.
How much does it cost?
The price is £8 per daily session. We offer subsidised places where appropriate.
Who can go?
All local children in full time primary education (ages 4-11). Your child's friends and family are also welcome to join the activity scheme.
Special needs: We welcome children with special needs. However, do make sure that you inform us before the start of your child's first play session. Even if you told us last year, we would still like to know again this year!
How is it run?
The scheme is managed by a committee of volunteer parents and run by paid staff. Each session has a qualified play leader, deputy and assistant play leader plus three helpers. We are a registered charity (registration number 1044664). Public and Employer Liability insurances are held. Our latest accounts (pdf file) are available for your information.
We would like to ask parents to consider coming onto the committee for the scheme in 2011. If you are interested please contact Gina on 890829. The scheme is under serious threat of closure in 2011 if a new committee isn't found!
What do I need?
We advise that children wear old clothes for all sessions. We take a fully supervised lunch break where a packed lunch is required and a drink. Free squash is readily available to all children all day. We request that all children wear sun cream and preferably a sun hat in order to be allowed to play outside.
